Discipleship Principles of Paul in the New Testament

  1. A Passion for Obedience

Galatians begins our journey with the first book Paul wrote

  2. A Commitment to Love

Galatians gives us a second principle as Paul continues his letter to the churches of Galatia

  3. Serving with Joy

As we move into the books of Thessalonians we get principles three and four

  4. A Desire to Abound in Faith

Once again, the two books of Thessalonians helps us to further understand the connection between obedience and faith

  5. Work Hard - But Relax

  6. Proper Doctrine Leads to Proper Deeds

Doctrine isn't a dry, boring subject but the basis for how we live or lives

  7. Concentrate on Being Actively Involved in the Type of Things that will have an Eternal Significance

  8. Conflict and Contention is an Indication of Immaturity for the Disciple

While conflict is unavoidable, getting trapped there is an indication of immaturity

  9. A Spiritual Father has Multiple Children

Once we've done it for one person, we turn around and find someone else

  10. Always Remember to Focus on Ministry

The fruit comes from God, we simply are the gardeners

  11. Pursue Holiness

While this is connected to earlier principles, the importance of considering the concept of "holiness" cannot be overstated
